Join our results-oriented team at GE Energy today!Product Design and DevelopmentU.S. State, China or Canada Provinces:The Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer will design and develop Ultra Wide Band (UWB) Radio Frequency sensor systems based for automotive applications. In this role you will develop system performance requirements working closely with cross-functional teams. In this role, you will:- Translate system requirements into design requirements
- Design and develop hardware, develop electronics functional requirements
- Develop test protocols and lead design verification testing efforts
- Lead design reviews and work closely with chief engineers
- Participate in cross-functional effort to take product through to manufacture
- Work with field application engineers to support the product with our customers
- Liaise with key customer for system requirements and practical system testing
- Liaise with electronics test house, FCC, CE and EMC testing correlation - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline
- Minimum of 3 years industrial experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in RF and mixed signal design and implementation and testing
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the specification of RF chipsets
- Minimum of 1 year experience with firmware
- Minimum of 1 year experience in RF Measurement and test methods as well as experience with pertinent lab equipment (oscillators / sources, mixer / modulators, spectrum analyzers, filters, power meters, etc.)
- Minimum of 1 year experience with simulation tools such as 3-D electromagnetic software, finite-element and multi-physics analysis
- Minimum of 1 year experience in high volume RF manufacturing and cost reduction Additional Eligibility QualificationsGE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Master’s Degree in Radio Frequency Engineering
- Experienced in the development of RF technology for sensor applications
- Experience in Radar Systems
- 3-D Design package, particularly Pro-E- FE modeling experience, esp ANSYS
- Project management experience
