MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
NW OHIO-NE INDIANA AREA
DUTIES:
? Direct development of novel silicon, carbonate and nitride material products for production applications.
? Integrate new material components and generation into process technologies and scale-up
? Multi-scale/phase theoretical modeling and simulation.
? Interface with manufacturing operation including engineering, production, process and business development.
? Provide technical leadership and conduct laboratory research for development or improvement of catalyzed direct reactions of silicon.
? Maintain safe operations within the laboratory
? Prepare reports documenting work, laboratory operating procedures, business presentations and patent disclosures for inventions
MUSTS:
? BS Materials, Ceramics, Polymers, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
? Experience with carbide and nitride silicon materials.
? Comprehensive understanding of material development for silicon applications.
? Must have a demonstrated ability to conduct innovative, creative research & development for materials.
? Experience with materials characterization and design; scale-up and process chemistry experience.
? Ability to develop novel methods and new concepts that permit interrogation over a wide range of length and time scales.
? Must have good organizational and presentation skills
? Ability to interact effectively with team members in various departments.
? Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced work environment where frequently changing requirements is a must.
