PURPOSE OF THE POSITION·???????? Develop and Implement our Quality Management Systems to support our growth plans.·???????? Create an understanding of the importance/benefit and ownership of our QMS.·???????? Resolve Customer and product related problems/concerns.·???????? Give Support and Guidance to colleagues on Quality related matters.Due to the team being small the role requires the incumbent to embrace a wide range of responsibility to support and give guidance, problem solve and prevent problems within all aspects of the business but will have specific responsibility for the effectiveness of the Quality Management System and its development.PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES·???????? Effective resolution of Customer Complaints·???????? Effectiveness of the Quality Management System·???????? The prevention of defects·???????? Root Cause identification and solve for good·???????? Management reports·???????? Lead Customer process and System Audits.·???????? Lead Regulatory/Third Party System audits.·???????? Support Departmental Managers with QMS understanding and process development.·???????? Supplier Quality Assurance Support.·???????? Plan and schedule the annual internal QMS audits.·???????? Coordinate the necessary Division personnel for internal and third party System audits.·???????? As non compliance/conformance occurs ensure timely resolution/root cause problem solving is effective.·???????? Project Manage/Coordinate plans necessary to develop and implement our QMS requirements.·???????? Play a leading role within the new product introduction process to prevent defects.·???????? Provide to Management reports within the first/second week of every month on specified metrics of Quality performance.·???????? Whether the existing QMS is effective in supporting the Business and the areas for improvement.·???????? Facilitate within the ECO process necessary decision re scrap, rework etc.·???????? The effectiveness of problem resolution.·???????? As part of the team to determine the initial suitability and continued suitablity of Suppliers to the business.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEBSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Preferably time served with a broad understanding ofcomponent production processes. Preferably from and Assembly and Test background. Key skills being Quality System development and Implementation, Lead auditor and Quality Improvement tools. Fully Conversant with ISO9001:2008, with some understanding of ISO 13485 and IRIS certifications. Effective problem solver. Improved Product Yields and reduced process variation Good communicator and team player. Awareness and understanding of TQM and Lean principles would be advantageous. P.C. Literate.
